COLLEGE PARENTS OF AMERICA ENDORSES DECISION PARTNERS ONLINE LEARNING PROGRAMS
Will Include Select Aid, Career Materials As Part of Member Benefits Package
Boston, MA – February 17, 2006 – Decision Partners, Inc., a non-profit online learning organization, today announced it has been endorsed by College Parents of America, the leading membership association dedicated to serving the needs of current and future college parents. College Parents of America will also include select materials from Decision Partners’ aid, finance, and experiential education programs as a key member benefit.
Decision Partners produces Financial Literacy 101, a series of online courses that cover many of the financial challenges of attending and paying for college. Supported by the American School Counselor Association and used by schools in over 30 states, these two-hour courses offer a standardized, high-quality student aid and financial literacy curriculum. The courses help students and their parents make smart decisions about topics ranging from applying for aid to managing the financial transition from high school to college.
Decision Partners also produces A+ Summer Jobs, the nation’s largest online database of employers offering internships and other seasonal employment to college students.
“Both Decision Partners and College Parents of America share the same mission – to help families successfully manage the transition to higher education,” said Austin Jackson, CEO of Decision Partners. “We’re proud that College Parents of America chose Decision Partners as a member resource for these important topics.”
“The mission of College Parents of America is to empower parents to best support their children on the path to and through college,” said James A. Boyle, president, College Parents of America. “Decision Partners’ online courses and career databases are clearly mission-compatible. Now, as these tools begin to be utilized by greater numbers of students, more and more parents will be able to look at the transition from high school to college and say `mission accomplished’.”
College Parents of America is the only national membership association dedicated to advocating and to serving on behalf of current and future college parents. College Parents of America members include not only parents, but also colleges and universities, local school systems, corporations, associations and other organizations dedicated to making higher education accessible – and successful – for all Americans.
