Decision Partners is passionate about serving critical non-academic needs
of high school and college students. With backgrounds in teaching,
computer science, non-profit management and educational product
development, we are driven to provide fresh perspectives in the
education of students.
But, most of all, Decision Partners reflects YOU - the educators, students, and parents who
want to cultivate a culture of knowledge and responsibility among tomorrow's adults.
Austin Jackson
Founder and CEO
Austin Jackson has over 10 years of experience developing educational
products for students and universities. Prior to founding Decision Partners,
he directed the marketing efforts of Outside the Classroom, a for-profit
educational company that sells online alcohol prevention courses to over 400 colleges. He has also served in senior marketing roles for Mascot
Network, a venture-backed communication technology company, and Alloy (formerly YouthStream Media),
Inc., a publicly-traded youth marketing company that developed 6degrees.com, the first social marketing website. Jackson also founded
Westover Communications, an internet publishing company that was acquired
by Alloy in 1998. Jackson holds a BA from the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill.
James Pfeiffer
Vice President of Customer Development
Jim Pfeiffer brings over 30 years of experience in not-for-profit management,
planning, sales and marketing to Decision Partners. Jim is particularly
skilled in helping organizations introduce new products and services to a national audience.
Most recently, he helped the Institute for Healthcare Improvement double its membership base.
Prior to IHI, he helped the Picker Institute become an international leader in health care
patient surveying. Jim has taught several courses at the college level and he holds a Master
of Social Welfare degree from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Kathleen Manning Robinson Vice President of Learning
Programs
Kathleen Robinson brings to Decision Partners a rich background in technology
enabled learning, teaching, and professional development. Before joining
Decision Partners, she held leadership positions in professional development
and product development at Co-nect, an educational consulting firm. There
she developed and delivered in-person and online training modules to academic
professionals in schools throughout the United States. At Tom Snyder Productions,
an educational technology company, Kathleen designed and led over 130 professional
development workshops and seminars for teachers and administrators. She
has classroom teaching experience at the elementary and high school levels.
Kathleen holds an undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College and a masters
degree in Technology in Education from Harvard University.
Greg Nichols
Vice President of Technology
Greg Nichols oversees all technical and operational aspects of Decision
Partners online services. Nichols has over 15 years of senior-level software
application design and management experience with companies such as Nortel
Networks, Allaire, Object Design, and the Extraprise Group. Nichols has
delivered commercial software products and Internet services using distributed
systems and web application server technologies. Nichols has a BS in Electrical
Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and two Master's degrees
in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut and Ohio State University.
